Step Ahead Shoes Official Sponsor
of ClubSEE
Step Ahead Shoes
is pleased to be the official sponsor of the University of Saskatchewans
ClubSEE. The Extension Division at the University of Saskatchewan
has been conducting ecology immersion camps since 1990. ClubSEE
was born in 1999 to consolidate the growing number of education
tours and camps we have available to people who want to learn about
nature and culture. The acronym SEE stands for Science, Education,
and Ethics: the three fundamentals of saving from destruction the
earth's ecosystems and their declining biodiversity.
Science - ClubSEE is committed to scientifically accurate
knowledge about Nature, ecosystems, species (including human cultures),
and how all interact and inter-depend.
Education - Education and learning
go hand in hand. Club SEE believes that the most effective and profound
learning is experiential learning: immersing your total being; your
body, your senses, your mind; in the subject you are going to learn
more about.
Ethics - No one should be entering
wilderness without seriously considering what impact your journey
may have, and planning the steps you will take to minimize; yes
eliminate that impact. If you are prepared to take on this responsibility,
you are exercising a wilderness ethic.
Tour Leader:
